Many so-called test-winning cordless vacuum cleaners on the internet impress with striking figures for runtime and performance – and we initially fell for that too and bought one of these models. However, what is rarely mentioned: More power also means more volts – which makes the batteries larger and heavier. A longer runtime often results in a noticeably heavier device. Especially in handheld mode, such vacuums quickly become uncomfortable to hold. The Bosch Unlimited 7 cordless vacuum cleaner, on the other hand, feels much better balanced and more comfortable in the hand.

Weight and Spare Parts Availability

The handheld unit of the Bosch Unlimited 7 weighs only 1.4 kg – despite its 18 V / 3.0 Ah battery, which is perfectly sufficient for everyday household use. In terms of performance and weight, it hits the ideal sweet spot within the Bosch Unlimited range. High-performance models from China, such as the Dreame Z30, often start at around 2.2 kg (25.2 V) and are noticeably heavier to handle.

Emptying and Cleaning the Dust Container

After removing the dust container, the filter can be cleaned quickly. Simply twist the filter to loosen dust and debris, or remove it completely for thorough cleaning under running water. Make sure it is completely dry before reinserting.

Our Conclusion

For our family household with children, buying the Bosch Unlimited 7 cordless vacuum cleaner has definitely paid off. Our old corded vacuum is now rarely used. Only for very stubborn dirt do we still reach for a mop – which is quite normal for cordless models. Thanks to its low weight and ergonomic design, the Bosch Unlimited 7 is always easy to grab and pleasant to use.
